Introduction

Through skin cancer screenings we are dedicated to identifying skin cancer in its earliest (pre-cancer), most treatable stage, as well as minimizing the societal impact by raising awareness of effective skin cancer prevention.  Skin cancer screenings for such skin pre-cancers as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma; is a visual inspection that we can perform in-office. With skin cancer being the most common cancer in the United States it is crucial that everyone gets a skin cancer screening when available. Concerning the skin cancers previously mentioned, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma are the most common forms of skin cancer with melanoma causing the most fatalities. Fortunately, with early detection and proper treatment, the cure rate for basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma can be up to 95%. When melanoma is detected before it spreads, it also has a high cure rate. Screenings take no longer than 10 minutes, including completing the paperwork and getting your skin checked where a full-body screening might be performed.
